What if we could all love fitness as easily as we love our dogs?

It's a fact: Many, many people dread the thought of working out (I used to hate it). But I like to think everyone loves dogs.


So what if there was a way to take inspiration from our furry friends, and learn to love and care for ourselves in the same way we do for our dogs? 


That's why I wrote Train Like a Dog. I'm Steve Running, and I'm a 53 year old dad, a dog lover and a certified personal trainer.


But when I was 40, I was 50 pounds overweight, had dangerously high cholesterol, and was at imminent risk of stroke. I needed to completely overhaul my lifestyle before my health declined any further. I had always failed at fitness programs and fad diets, but now my life depended on making real change.


It took patience and effort, but I eventually dropped the weight, lowered my cholesterol without medication, and got in the best shape of my life. So I wrote this book to share what I learned and to help others finally get fit, lose weight, and to enjoy the process along the way.
